30M+ premises in programme scope · 30 days to re-baseline · 5+ vendor workstreams restructured · Agile delivery applied
When a large-scale network transformation programme stalls, the cost is not just delay — it is confidence. SAVI3 was brought in to rescue and re-deliver a nationally significant infrastructure programme for the UK’s largest network operator.
The challenge
Our client — the UK’s largest network infrastructure operator, with a 30M+ premises estate — had a transformation programme that had accumulated delays, scope ambiguity, and delivery risk across multiple technology vendors and workstreams. Commercially critical milestones were at risk, and executive confidence had eroded. Without a clear re-baseline and restored delivery governance, the programme would continue to drift.
What we did
SAVI3 stepped in at programme leadership level. Within 30 days we had re-baselined scope, restructured 5+ vendor workstreams with clear ownership boundaries, and reestablished governance across the multi-vendor environment. We introduced Agile delivery disciplines across a programme that had been running on traditional waterfall methods — renegotiating vendor commitments against the revised baseline and rebuilding executive confidence through transparent, milestone-driven reporting.
The results
Programme returned to controlled delivery. Key milestones met. Executive and board-level confidence restored. The architectural and programme foundations put in place now support the operator’s continued network modernisation — one of the most consequential infrastructure transformations in UK telecoms history.
This engagement demonstrates what SAVI3 brings to organisations whose transformation programmes have stalled: the combination of architecture rigour and delivery leadership needed to get things moving again.
